Brainstorming and mind mapping vs. Whiteboards

I recently read an article which on first and second glance states mind mapping and whiteboards are mutually exclusive.   The writer seems to suggest whiteboards are for writing lists, and mind maps are for creative thinking.  So let’s talk about two great tools which are NOT mutually exclusive.
